About SEPCO

What is SEPCO and which areas does it serve?

SEPCO — Sukkur Electric Power Company — became an independent distribution company back in 2010, splitting off to run upper Sindh's power supply on its own. Today it covers eight districts: Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, and Kamber Shahdadkot, plus small neighbouring pockets. If your meter sits anywhere in this belt, SEPCO is whose name is on your bill.

The billing side runs through PITC (Power Information Technology Company), the same backend several other Pakistani DISCOs use — so an online SEPCO bill check is served from PITC's system rather than sepco.com.pk directly. SEPCO also runs a lesser-known SMS option: text 'pitc' followed by your 14-digit reference number to 8334, and your bill summary gets sent straight to your phone.

Applying for a New SEPCO Connection

New SEPCO connections are applied for online — domestic, commercial, and industrial categories each have their own document list and fee schedule. Expect to submit your CNIC, property proof, a neighbour's bill for reference, and a paid demand notice before a meter gets installed.

A newly installed connection can take a billing cycle or two to appear in the online system. If your new meter isn't showing up in a check yet, that delay is normal — follow up with your local SEPCO office using your application or demand notice number.

Rooftop solar panels connected to the SEPCO grid via net metering
Solar & net metering

Net Metering for Solar Consumers

Consumers with rooftop solar installations can apply for net metering under NEPRA regulations — excess power your system generates is exported to the grid and credited against future bills.

To apply, submit a written application at your local SEPCO Sub-Division office with your CNIC, latest bill, and meter photographs. SEPCO staff will inspect your setup and issue a demand notice before installation is approved.

No. SEPCO doesn't support bill lookup by CNIC. You'll need your 14-digit reference number or 10-digit consumer number, both printed on any previous bill.

The reference number (14 digits) is printed in bold near the top of your bill — easiest to spot. The consumer number (10 digits) sits just below your name and address. Either one works for a lookup.

There's no official calculator from SEPCO itself, but you can estimate your bill by multiplying units consumed by your tariff slab's rate, then adding GST, electricity duty, and the TV fee. The live bill check above gives you the exact figure.

Compare this month's units with last month's. If the reading looks off, call the helpline on 118 or file a complaint through SEPCO's online portal.
