About QESCO

What is QESCO and which areas does it serve?

QESCO — Quetta Electric Supply Company — is the government-owned electricity distributor for almost the entire province of Balochistan, covering roughly 43% of Pakistan's land area across more than 30 districts, from Quetta and Khuzdar to Turbat and Gwadar. The only exception is Lasbela district, which is served by K-Electric instead.

Whether you search for 'bill qesco', 'qesco bill check', 'qesco online billing', or 'online bill check qesco', the process is the same: your bill can be checked, downloaded as a PDF, and paid entirely online using the QESCO bill reference number printed on any previous bill — no office visit needed.

Electricity meter installation for a new QESCO connection
New connection

Applying for a New QESCO Connection

New QESCO connections are applied for through the local sub-divisional office, covering domestic, commercial, agricultural, and industrial categories — each with its own documents and fee schedule.

Applicants need a valid CNIC, proof of ownership or tenancy, and a load requirement estimate. QESCO's field staff inspect the site before a demand notice is issued and the meter is installed — a process that can take longer in QESCO's more remote districts given the province's vast terrain.

Rooftop solar panels connected to the QESCO grid via net metering
Solar & net metering

Net Metering for Solar Consumers

Consumers with rooftop solar installations can apply for net metering under NEPRA regulations — excess power your system generates is exported to the grid and credited against future QESCO bills.

To apply, submit a written application at your local QESCO Sub-Division office with your CNIC, latest bill, and meter photographs. QESCO staff will inspect your setup and issue a demand notice before installation is approved.
