What is FESCO and which areas does it serve?
FESCO — Faisalabad Electric Supply Company — was carved out of WAPDA in the late 1990s and now covers eight districts of central Punjab: Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Chiniot, and Mianwali. Faisalabad itself is often called the 'Manchester of Pakistan' for its textile mills, and that industrial load is a big part of why the grid here works the way it does.
FESCO's own billing system runs on infrastructure built and maintained by PITC (Power Information Technology Company), headquartered in Lahore. PITC handles the MIS backend, meter data, and the online bill portal for FESCO the same way it does for several other DISCOs — so a FESCO bill check online is really a PITC-served page wearing FESCO's branding.
One quirk worth knowing: because FESCO grew directly out of WAPDA, a lot of people — especially older consumers — still just call it a 'WAPDA bill' out of habit, or say 'bijli ka bill' rather than 'FESCO bill.' Same bill, same reference number, just an older name that stuck.

Applying for a New FESCO Connection
New FESCO connections are applied for online — domestic, commercial, and industrial categories each carry their own document list and fee schedule. Given how much of Faisalabad's economy runs on textile mills and small industry, FESCO also processes a steady volume of commercial and industrial connection upgrades alongside residential ones.
Expect to submit your CNIC, property proof, a neighbour's bill for reference, and a paid demand notice before your meter is installed. A new connection can take a billing cycle or two to appear in the online system — that delay is normal.

Net Metering for Solar Consumers
Consumers with rooftop solar installations can apply for net metering under NEPRA regulations — excess power your system generates is exported to the grid and credited against future bills.
To apply, submit a written application at your local FESCO Sub-Division office with your CNIC, latest bill, and meter photographs. FESCO staff will inspect your setup and issue a demand notice before installation is approved.

Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask about FESCO bills — answered simply.
Enter your 14-digit reference number or 10-digit consumer number in the tool above. Your bill appears instantly — no login needed.
Yes. FESCO was created out of WAPDA, and many long-time consumers still say 'WAPDA bill' out of habit. It's the same bill, same reference number — just an older name that stuck around.
It isn't an official FESCO product name. It's just how people informally refer to checking their FESCO bill online, often picked up from one of the many third-party bill-checking sites. The official channel is fesco.com.pk, powered on the backend by PITC.
Use the checker above. Once your bill loads, click Download PDF — it's accepted at banks and payment counters as an official duplicate.
No. FESCO doesn't support bill lookup by CNIC. You'll need your 14-digit reference number or 10-digit consumer number, both printed on any previous bill.
The reference number (14 digits) is printed in bold near the top of your bill — easiest to spot. The consumer number (10 digits) sits just below your name and address. Either one works for a lookup.
There's no official calculator from FESCO itself, but you can estimate your bill by multiplying units consumed by your tariff slab's rate, then adding GST, electricity duty, and the TV fee. For an exact figure, the live bill check above is more reliable than any estimate.
Compare this month's units with last month's. If the reading looks off, call the helpline on 118 or file a complaint through FESCO's online portal.
FESCO covers Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Chiniot, and Mianwali.
The online checker usually shows your latest billing cycle. For older bills, keep a saved PDF from each month, or contact your local FESCO customer service center with your reference number.
Bills are due 30 days from the issue date. A 10% late surcharge is added automatically the day after that.
Yes, completely free. There's no charge to check, view, or download a bill, and no account is required.
Yes — once your bill loads on the checker above, use the Download PDF button. It's accepted at banks and payment counters as an official duplicate.
Sample FESCO bill — key numbers highlighted
Reference number vs consumer number — which to use?
14 digits, printed in bold near the top of your bill — the most prominent number, easiest to find.
10 digits, your account number just below your name and address. Works the same as the reference number.
💡 Can't find either? Call the FESCO helpline 118 with your address.
